Griffon 2.6.0 Released

The Griffon team is happy to announce the release of Griffon 2.6.0!

The following list summarizes the changes brought by this release:

  • [Build] Additional key/values may be set in application.properties.

  • [Runtime] @PostConstruct and @PreDestroy are guaranteed to be invoked when an artifact is created/destroyed.

  • [Runtime] EventRouter can now be queried for its listeners.

  • [Runtime] Provide ThreadFactory for all internal Thread producers, such as EventRouter and ExecutorServiceProvider.

  • [Runtime] Fields annotated with @Contextual will use field name first for key resolution; then @Named, followed by field type.

  • [Testing] TestModule providers can now be identified with @TestModules and @TestModuleOverrides.

  • [Testing] Functional TestFX testcases can participate in members injection.

  • [Testing] Added a Window matcher for TestFX testcases.

  • [Testing] Enforce test execution order in functional TestFX testcases.

  • [Testing] Carry over state between test methods in functional TestFX testcases.

  • [JavaFX] Added an UI Thread proxy ObservableList; all of its updates will be triggered inside the UI thread.

  • [JavaFX] Action properties will trigger their updates inside the UI Thread.
